The Avtron Model K885 Speed/Draw System is intended for both drive controlled sectional machines and line shaft machines. It can be used on several machines at once. The system accepts pulses from rotary pulse generators, tachs, and encoders. It displays speeds and draws at different remote stations installed on a serial link. The K885 is designed for use in mill environments, where the air is hot, humid, and has trace amounts of corrosive compounds. The cabinet is totally enclosed, non-ventilated, and requires no internal fan or air conditioning. It has no exposed contacts or switches and has fewer circuit boards than older systems. The K885 includes complete built-in self test functions to assist in calibration, set-up, and internal diagnostics. Add the Performance View (TM) to the system for graphical data viewing and event logging. Data available from Performance View can be either historical or real-time. Also available are stand alone meters.
