MK2T - Rotary Clamp Cylinder

MK2T - Rotary Clamp Cylinder

The MK2T Rotary Clamp Cylinder is an addition to our compact and lightweight MK rotary clamp cylinder series. Rotary clamp cylinders are typically used to clamp parts together during a welding process. All of SMC's rotary clamp cylinders are equipped with piston rod scrapers to help extend cylinder life by removing contaminants from the piston rod. They are also equipped with a magnetic piston and can be fitted with our direct mount auto-switches for end of stroke position sensing capability. SMC's rotary clamp cylinders include the MK, which is considered a standard duty rotary clamp cylinder, the MK2, which is considered a heavier duty design than the MK and the new MK2T, which is SMC's heaviest duty rotary clamp cylinder.

The design of the rotational mechanism in the newest addition, MK2T, is a double guide type. This gives the MK2T three times the moment of inertia capability over similar rotary clamp cylinders. The two-roller mechanism also allows the MK2T to be mounted horizontally. The MK2T also features a tight non-rotating accuracy and rotation angle tolerance.
