Improve your production, reduce abrasive wear, and lower your cost per ton of material produced – just a few of the reasons to call Columbia Steel for your aggregate industry crusher wear parts needs. (read more)
Columbia Steel's premium manganese steel, Xtralloy®, became a production alloy in 1988 and has been widely utilized in crusher wear parts in aggregate production and ore processing as a way to reduce the cost of abrasive wear. (read more)
Columbia Steel is your complete resource for standard and custom wear parts and components. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer, able to engineer, cast, heat treat, machine and assemble the wide variety of wear resistant parts you need. Look to us for your shredder replacement parts to help improve your operation's reliability, production and profitability. (read more)
Columbia Steel customers return to us because our parts are yielding longer service life, and a lower cost per ton of coal burned. Our product engineers have worked with power plant maintenance supervisors to identify areas of high wear and difficult part replacement, and have developed parts that install easier and last longer. (read more)
Cement plants worldwide have increased efficiency and reduced downtime with wear-and heat-resistant parts from Columbia Steel. It's a long and varied list:
Kiln and Cooler Parts -- We offer advanced design Kiln Nose Rings and Cooler Grates in range of heat resistant alloys.
Clinker Drag Chain -- Columbia Drag Chain with Xtend Process® high carbide surfacing off... (read more)
Columbia Steel knows gyratory crushers. For three decades, we've gone into the field and studied real-world performance issues: poor nip of feed material; excessive wear in lower crushing chambers; poor production from partially worn parts; excessive wear metal discard costs; and problems with uneven or localized wear. (read more)
General Carbide supplies many tooling components to the concrete industry including wear plates, tiles , bushings and splitter knives for the concrete block industry. (read more)
Industrial wear applications are as varied as the industries served. Our engineering staff has years of experience to predict how successful a grade will be in a particular environment. Our pre-forming skills will ensure that stock allowances are kept to a minimum and our hard grinding department can skillfully provide a part with the surface finish and tolerance desired. The AMTI OrthoPOD is a six-station pin-on-plate wear-testing machine. Unlike a conventional pin-on-disk machine the OrthoPod provides the means to program complex motion paths which play an important part in the wear of anisotropic materials like polymers and composites. The OrthoPod has six sample stations where each station will accommodate a pin and plate sample pair. (read more)
Based on a design principle used in air ratchets for decades, the ESL nests ball bearings between an additional set of ball bearings. Where after a high number of torque overloads, traditional torque limiters can begin to wear, the ball bearings in the ESL roll over each other, reducing impact, and evenly distributing remaining stress around the surfaces while they spin.
