It is no longer necessary to weld pipes on-site for power generation, chemical, water works, sewage treatment plants, etc. Align and weld pipes, flanges and fittings in-house using modular fixturing. Large parts do not have to be difficult to fixture. Modular components bridge the part, locating critical features. Standard columns up to 13' long can be mounted vertically on the welding table or joined horizontally to each other. The AMTI OrthoPOD is a six-station pin-on-plate wear-testing machine. Unlike a conventional pin-on-disk machine the OrthoPod provides the means to program complex motion paths which play an important part in the wear of anisotropic materials like polymers and composites.
