Cold forming and cold heading services form metal by placing it under pressure, without the addition of heat, until the desired shape is achieved. Cold heading is commonly used to manufacture bolts, rivet nuts, and many other fasteners
Learn MoreRoll forming services create metal shapes with uniform cross-sections. Sheets, strips, coils, wires or foils are fed between successive pairs of rollers that progressively bend and form the metal until the desired shape and cross-section is obtained
Search by Specification | Learn MoreFerrous metals and alloys are based on iron and include carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, cast steel, maraging steel, and specialty or proprietary iron-based alloys.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreMetal sheet is metal or alloy stock supplied or available in the form of sheet or foil. Metal sheet has a thickness between 0.006" and 0.250", and is 24" (609.6 mm) or more in width
Search by Specification | Learn MoreHot forming machines form metal that has been preheated. Cold forming machines form metal that has not been preheated
Learn MoreMetal shapes and stock includes metals and alloys in the form of bar, rod, beam, plate, foil and other standard shapes
Learn MoreMetal rod and bar stock are metals and alloys in the form of round bars or rod, square bars, rectangular or flat bars, hexagons, and other bar stock shapes
Search by Specification | Learn MoreReactive and refractory metals include tungsten, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, chromium, hafnium, zirconium, and titanium. Reactive metals oxide rapidly and form a stable oxide. Refractory metals and alloys have melting points above ~ 1750° C (~ 3200 F
Search by Specification | Learn MoreSpecialty forming machines are specialized or proprietary products and accessories for forming metal and other materials
Learn MoreRoll forming equipment uses pressure applied by a series of steel rolls or roller dies to form or bend metal
Learn MoreMetal wire and strand has a round, flat, or shaped cross section. Products are usually less than 0.375" in diameter
Search by Specification | Learn MoreTitanium and titanium alloys are non-ferrous metals with excellent corrosion resistance, fatigue properties, and a high strength-to-weight ratio
Search by Specification | Learn MoreZinc and zinc alloys are non-ferrous alloys that are used widely in the production of die cast components.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCold and hot isostatic pressing services apply high pressures and/or temperature to form near net shapes, densify parts, diffusion bond materials, remove internal porosity and improve the integrity of engineering components
Search by Specification | Learn MoreMetals and alloys in the form of flat plates or metal plate stock

Flowforming, also known as flowturning, is an advanced form of spinning. It is based on a predetermined reduction of the thickness of a starting blank or preform. The reduction is closely controlled, which results in a very uniform or precisely varied wall thickness in the finished part. (read more)

Flow forming (which we refer to as "Floturning") differs essentially from metal spinning in that the metal is coldflowed, using tremendous pressure on the forming roller. In addition to controlling section thickness, Floturning improves metal structure in the coldworking process. (read more)
Hitachi Metals' unique cold die steel, SLD-MAGIC™ has revolutionized the metal forming and tooling industry. In keeping with its stated business objectives, Hitachi Metals has developed a cost reducing, eco-friendly alternative to existing cold die steels that actually extends the life of cold press and forging dies. (read more)
Electromagnetic Metalforming is a process of using electromagnetic forces to form metal, without a tool coming into contact with the part. It is also an ideal process for mechanically joining or assembling dissimilar metal components. (read more)
The Grob Rolling process increases the strength by rearranging the grain structure of the material over the entire tooth profile. The greatest amount of strength is gained near the bottom, or root area of the form where strength is most crucial. The result of the cold forming process produces a very high surface finish. Roughness average, Ra Readings of 4 micro inches have been produced. (read more)
