Isostatic presses are used for compressing powdered materials into shaped pre-forms or general products. There are two main types of isostatic presses; cold isostatic presses (CIP) that function at room temperature and hot isostatic presses (HIP) that function at elevated temperatures
Cold and hot isostatic pressing services apply high pressures and/or temperature to form near net shapes, densify parts, diffusion bond materials, remove internal porosity and improve the integrity of engineering components

Search by Specification | Learn MoreMetal powders are finely divided or powdered metals used in fabricating sintered parts, thermal spraying, filling plastics, and other specialized applications.
Learn MoreHeat treating services perform thermal treatments to modify the properties of metals and metal alloys. Common processes include annealing, austempering, case hardening, conventional hardening, homogenizing, hot isostatic pressing (HIP), martempering, normalizing, precipitation hardening, shot peening, solution treating, spheroidizing, stabilizing, and stress relieving
Search by Specification | Learn MoreMetal injection molding (MIM) services use a powder metallurgy process to manufacture metal parts.
Search by Specification | Learn MorePowder compacting equipment is used to shape powders as part of a forming process and to compress a wide range of materials into compact shapes for ease of transportation and handling.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCeramic manufacturing services for parts and assemblies made of ceramic or refractory materials.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCeramic balls are rolling, spherical elements that are used in check and ball valves, bearings, and other mechanical devices that provide rotary or linear motion. They can provide higher stiffness, lower thermal expansion, lighter weight, increased corrosion resistance, and higher electrical resistance than comparable steel products.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreIndustrial ceramic materials are non-metallic, inorganic compounds that include oxides, carbides, or nitrides. They have high melting points, low wear resistance, and a wide range of electrical properties.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCeramic tube and ceramic rod products are suitable for use in applications requiring high temperature strength, erosion resistance, electrical or thermal insulation, and other specialized characteristics.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreTableting presses are used for uniaxial pressing of powdered materials into shaped tablets or compacts - usually at high speeds.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreEDM tooling, electrodes, fixtures, materials, guides and other supplies are used in electrical discharge machining (EDM), a highly-accurate manufacturing process for creating shapes within components and assemblies.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCeramic hybrid bearings, the most common type of ceramic bearing, are constructed of steel inner and outer rings with ceramic (typically Si3N4) balls in place of steel. Common types of ceramic bearings are angular contact and conrad.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCutting tool inserts are replaceable attachments for cutting tools. They typically contain the actual cutting edge.

Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) is a process that uniquely combines pressure and temperature to produce materials and parts with substantially better properties than other methods. The pressure medium is an inert gas, normaly Argon. (read more)
Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) is a method of compacting powders into green bodies and near-net shaped in a pressure vessel. The powder, which can be metallic, ceramic or graphite, is sealed in a flexible mold shaped like the end product. High pressure is used up to 600 MPa (6,000 bar/87,000 psi) having water as pressure medium. (read more)
Isostatic presses are available for powder metallurgy and other applications in a variety of sizes and pressure ratings. Systems feature the compaction chamber, pressurizing pump, fluid reservoir, piping and a convenient steel console. Fully automated systems are also available. (read more)
Plastomer Technologies can isostatically mold PTFE to create custom intricate shapes and near net size parts to save you time and money. Isostatic molding can be performed 15" in diameter to 30" long. (read more)
