Industrial ceramic materials are non-metallic, inorganic compounds that include oxides, carbides, or nitrides. They have high melting points, low wear resistance, and a wide range of electrical properties
Ceramic manufacturing services for parts and assemblies made of ceramic or refractory materials.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreCeramic powders and precursors contain oxides, carbides, nitrides, carbon, and other non-metals. They are usually micron or mesh-size in distribution. Ceramic powders, sol-gel solutions and precursors are fabricated through atomization, crushing, milling, precipitation, and other chemical processes
Search by Specification | Learn MorePowder coating equipment is used to spray resin powder onto the surface of a pre-heated component, where the powder fuses and cures producing a protective coating.
Search by Specification | Learn MoreNanoparticle and powder processing services perform milling, crushing, classifying, screening, grading, atomizing, coating, or production of metal or chemical powders and nanomaterials on a contractual basis
Search by Specification | Learn MoreDielectric ceramics and substrates are electrical insulators with dielectric strength, dielectric constant and loss tangent values tailored for specific device applications
Search by Specification | Learn MoreRefractories and high temperature insulation include many different types of ceramic insulation, refractory shapes, and refractory cements
Search by Specification | Learn MorePiezoelectric ceramics produce an electrical charge when a load is applied and deformation occurs. Piezoelectric ceramics can also produce force or deformation when an electrical charge is applied
Search by Specification | Learn MoreFerrite ceramics and ferromagnetic materials have dielectric and magnetic properties that are suitable for RF and microwave applications. They provide high electrical resistivity and low magnetic losses
Learn MoreSpecialty ceramics include nitrides, borides, carbon or graphite and silicides as well as other specialized non-metallic compounds
Learn MoreOxide ceramics include alumina, zirconia, silica, aluminum silicate, magnesia and other metal oxide based materials
Search by Specification | Learn MoreFinishing compounds are used to improve surface finish or flatness. They often consist of fine abrasives in slurry, bar, powder or paste forms
Search by Specification | Learn MorePowder compacting equipment is used to shape powders as part of a forming process and to compress a wide range of materials into compact shapes for ease of transportation and handling
Search by Specification | Learn MorePowder metal services use heat and pressure to form precision parts and shapes from ferrous and nonferrous metals

TPL offers a range of titanate powders with controlled size and chemistry. The nano-size powders are produced via an aqueous, low temperature process that allows for binary and tertiary oxide compositions with controlled stoichiometries. (read more)
Zircar Zirconia Powder Type ZYP is an ultra fine, highly reactive powder composed of yttria-stabilized zirconia. It is offered with two different surface areas; Type ZYP-30 has a surface area of 25-35 square meters per gram while Type ZYP-55 has a surface area of 50-60 square meters per gram. (read more)
Aremco offers a broad range of machinable and fully-dense ceramic materials for applications in which high temperature insulation, thermal shock resistance and high dielectric strength are required. Aremcolox™ and Super-Heat ceramics include compositions based on alumina, alumino-silicates, boron nitride, glass-ceramics, magnesium oxide and zirconium phosphate. (read more)
TPL's composite dielectric material represents a significant breakthrough in dielectric materials for high energy density capacitors. Efforts in this area have transitioned from materials development, supported by basic R & D contracts, to device fabrication for a number of pulsed power and directed energy applications. (read more)
PREMATECH ADVANCED CERAMICS combines the highest level of service with an extensive knowledge of ceramic machining. A truly scientific approach is applied to the process to maintain consistency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. (read more)
Bunting's Powder FF Drawer Magnets are used in plastics processing and mount directly on the infeed of processing machines. Bunting grinds the inside of the housings smooth to prevent powdered resins and colorants from clinging to the interior surfaces. (read more)
Custom Ceramic Fiber Heaters, Flat Ceramic Heaters from Thermal Circuits, Inc. Thermal Circuits offer many benefits including custom watt densities, thin profiles, ease of placement and low thermal mass. They are easy to apply and provide a higher heat output. (read more)
Problem:
A customer pioneering in the life sciences industry contacted Insaco for a quote on Aluminum Nitride machining for their developmental part requiring excellent hardness and good thermal conductivity. However, they weren't sure the Aluminum Nitride was the most efficient choice. (read more)
Insaco routinely machines both large and small ceramic parts, including thread grinding, and drilling with tolerances to .00005" and angular accuracy to five seconds of arc. (read more)
The Nature of Powders
We think of powders as a mass of solid particles or granules. In fact these particles are usually surrounded by air (or other fluid) and it is the solids plus fluid combination that significantly affects the bulk properties of the powder. It is perhaps the most complicating characteristic because the amount of fluid can be so variable.
Powders are... (read more)
