Threading Tools

Threading tools are used to form or cut screw threads. Threading tools and attachments are used with the taps that are used to cut the female thread. There are many types of threading tools and attachments. Examples include a cutting threading tool, pipe threading tool, thread insert, thread repair, thread grinding, thread milling and thread rolling. A cutting threading tool is used for cutting, finishing, and shaping metals and materials throughout the manufacturing process. A pipe threading tool threads the pipes of different sizes and it removes the die heads by pulling the ratchet head. A thread insert is used to replace the cracked, stripped and damaged holes in the bolts. A thread repair attachment repairs the stripped threads that are available in different types of metals. A thread repair makes the damaged threads back to its original thread size. Thread grinding is used to grind the metals and it improves the threading performance and efficiency. Thread milling is a three axis mill which is used for helical interpolation and it is capable of producing threads of larger sizes. A thread rolling process is used for making external threads. Other threading tools and attachments are commonly available.

There are several ways in which threading tools function. A cutting threading tool employs taps and additional holding jaws for gripping smaller size taps. They are available with tap wench size of 1/4" to 1/2" (6mm to 12mm). Some examples of pipe threading tool specifications include pipe thread die heads of 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch, ratchet handles of 20 inches, and are convenient to use. A thread insert can make bolt holes even in aluminum. Thread repair tools align holes that are 1/8 to 1/2" in diameter. Some specifications of thread grinding tools includes 22 inch thread, variable pitch threads and it is available in variable radius sizes. A thread rolling tool is fatigue resistant and strong. Threading tools and attachments are designed and manufactured to meet most industry specifications.

Threading tools are used in many applications. Examples include applications in aerospace, plastic industries, hyper-threading technology-based systems, multi-core processors, and multiprocessors. Threading tools are manufactured by International Standards Organization (ISO)-9001 approved factories.
