Specialty Industrial Heaters

Specialty industrial heaters are specialized or proprietary heating products for industrial applications. Specialty industrial heaters include short, medium, and long wavelength electric heaters; gas infrared heaters; pre-heaters; industrial heater boilers; space heaters; and combination gas and electric heaters for specific applications. Typically, an industrial electrical heater is used to heat small spaces. An industrial heater boiler is used to both heat water and heat the air. Specialty industrial heaters are used in the processing of materials such as fabrics and paper that are dried using heating units as part of the manufacturing web. Specialty industrial heaters also include industrial space heater products for heating large factory or warehouses spaces for comfort.

Gas heaters and electric air heaters are common types of specialty industrial heaters. An industrial air heater can be used to dry components after they are painted, or for drying out materials like gypsum, or for film laminating. Industrial air heaters may also be portable units. An industrial portable heater can be used to dry masonry on construction projects or for forced drying and curing of materials. Portable heaters can be electric, gas-fired, or fueled by propane. An industrial propane heater is often used to heat large work spaces. An industrial gas heater may use either natural gas or propane, and may also include mixed fuel burners that use both gas and oil.

Industrial infrared (IR) heaters can be used in many different applications, from creation of adhesives to printed circuit boards (PCBs_ to the thermoforming of plastics and the creation of rubber tubing. An industrial infrared heater or industrial IR heater is particularly useful in manufacturing web applications, where the heater can be placed on either side of a continuous roll of material, drying both sides at the same time.

Specialty industrial heaters include water heaters and boilers. Many industrial applications need instantaneous hot water. An industrial water heater is designed to control the temperature of the water to ensure against any bacterial or microbial growth. Other specialty industrial heaters may use a steam boiler to provide heat.
