About Gas, Liquid and Solids Samplers
Gas samplers, liquid samplers and solids samplers are used to take samples of media from process streams, reactors or storage vessels. The sampling process is used to obtain representative samples of gas, liquid or solid. There are many different types of sampling equipment. Examples include gas samplers, liquid samplers and solids samplers. A gas sampler is used to determine the quality of a flowing stream and available in two configurations: six-port and single-valve, three-way. A liquid sampler is used to sample liquids in tanks, drums, or open waters. Fixed volume, portable and liquid cylinder samplers are commonly available. A solid sampler is used to sample flowing solids which may be stratified. Other gas, samplers, liquid samplers and solids samplers are commonly available.
Gas samplers, liquid samplers, and solids samplers differ in terms of product specifications and special features. Gas samplers are highly accurate and provide safe methods for gas sampling. Specifications include pressure (psi), temperature (°F) and valve size (in.). Liquid samplers feature temperature control, carbon filters, and replaceable needles. A liquid sampler that is made of stainless steel can be dipped into a hot, corrosive liquid. The device’s valves open manually or automatically to obtain a liquid sample. Solids samplers have three chambers with sizes ranging from 16.75 in. to 17.875 in. to 18.125 in. Other important specifications for a solids sampler are body length (in.), core length (in.)., and total sample quantity (mL). Special features for gas samplers, liquid samplers and solids samplers may vary by application.
