ABS
Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) is a hard, rigid, thermoplastic polymer. It provides good chemical and creep resistance, and provides dimensional stability. ABS is used in many industries and in a wide array of applications. It is generally inexpensive, though prone to cracking when under stress. Common trade names include Cycolac® (GE Plastics), Lustran® (Bayer) and Novodur® (Bayer).

Cast Iron
The term "cast iron" refers not to a single material, but to a family of materials whose major constituent is iron, with varying amounts of carbon and silicon. Gray cast iron incorporates the graphite form of carbon in a flaky structure within the iron. Cast iron has been used in pipes and fittings for hundreds of years in water and wastewater applications because of its durability and excellent corrosion resistance.
| |
Ductile Iron
Ductile iron is a form of cast iron that incorporates significant casting refinements, additional metallurgical processes, and superior quality control. The heat treatment after casting nodulizes the graphite into spheroidal shapes, giving ductile iron greater elongation, impact strength, and toughness than its predecessor, gray cast iron. The properties of ductile iron resemble those of steel more than traditional gray cast iron. Ductile iron retains the machinability of gray iron, however, and its high corrosion resistance is often enhanced with polyethylene encasement. Ductile iron is also called nodular iron or S.G. iron.

| |
Fiberglass
Fiberglass-reinforced plastics are the largest class of composites used in pipe manufacturing. Other composites used in pipe or tube forming for chemical or structural applications include graphite, aramid fiber-reinforced plastics, and aluminum-plastic composites.
| |
Polymer Concrete
Polymer concrete is a mixture of aggregates such as quartz and other minerals with a polymer such as polyester. Polymer concrete exhibits good chemical resistance and does not absorb water.
| |
Porcelain / Ceramic
Porcelain and ceramic is used as a sanitary material or coating to prevent contamination.
| |
PVC
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a widely-used material that has good flexibility, a smooth surface, and nontoxic qualities. Some grades are used in food and chemical processes due to the inert nature of PVC.
| |
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is chemical and corrosion resistant and can have relatively high pressure ratings. This selection includes all grades of stainless steel.
| |
Steel
Steel is a commercial iron that contains carbon in any amount up to about 1.7% as an essential alloying constituent. It is malleable under suitable conditions and distinguished from cast iron by its malleability and lower carbon content.

| |
Domed Strainer
The strainer is domed or raised above the drain inlet.
| |
Grease / Oil Separator
The drain contains an integral device for separating grease, oil, or other solids from the water before draining.
| |
Funnel Inlet
The drain uses a funnel to guide water or other draining liquid into the inlet.
| |
Integral Cleanout
The drain contains an access port for cleaning clogs, sediment, etc.
| |
Side Outlet
The drain has a bend in the outlet so that liquid discharges to the side.
