About Noren Products, Inc.

Business Type: Manufacturer

Noren Products Inc. manufactures air-to-air and air-to-water heat exchangers which remove heat from sealed electronic enclosures, panels and cabinets for indoor and outdoor applications. They are 10 times more efficient than air conditioning, with no maintenance. NEMA 12 units are stock items. NEMA 4, 4X and stainless steel units are also available, as well as UL, CSA and CE on most models. Their computer program can determine your needs in minutes. Save energy, utilize the Noren Compact Cabinet Cooler. Also, custom applications fast! Remember you do not have to refrigerate electronics. Visit and bookmark their site.

Noren Products, Inc. Enclosure & Panel Cooling Introduction

Modern day electronics continue to be placed in denser packaging and smaller enclosures. Consequently, electronics are being designed to handle higher temperatures. For example, many industrial logic controllers in today's market have thermal ratings of 122°F - 140°F.

Moisture and airborne dust, oil, dirt, and other contaminants can damage sensitive electronic equipment. Sealed NEMA enclosures protect the electronics but cause another problem - overheating, which causes reliability problems and unnecessary downtime.

The Heat Exchanger or Compact Cabinet Cooler, which is an air-to-air heat exchanger, solves these problems by removing waste heat and recirculating the clean air inside the cabinet. At the same time, the Compact Cabinet Cooler maintains the enclosure's protective seal against contaminants with minimal energy cost.

Air conditioners and other below ambient type coolers are not necessary for most enclosure cooling applications. Heat Exchangers or Compact Cabinet Coolers, built around the heat pipe principle, allow the use of slightly above-ambient cooling. Heat Exchangers provide enough cooling even when summertime temperatures reach 120°F.

Greater cooling power for sealed electronic enclosures:

  • Established in 1968 - over 680,000 of their Heat Pipes are in use today
  • The Innovators - in air-to-air and air-to-water cooling systems
  • Real Heat Pipes - over 30 year life
  • Most Efficient - LOWEST COST cooling in the industry
  • Standard Models in Stock!! - shipped next day
  • Perfect "Closed Loop Cooling System" - contamination FREE

Explosion Proof

Because their Air-to-Air units are designed with the fan motor completely shielded, they are an off-the-shelf solution. The same one GPM requirement applies in conjunction with a slight positive pressure on the cabinet. Please consult with their applications engineers to verify which explosive environments are covered. The Air-to-Water cabinet coolers can be used for Explosion Proof applications.

Compact Cabinet Coolers™ for a wide variety of Hazardous Locations.
