collector
(Electronics) 1. A semiconductive region through which a primary flow of charge carriers leaves the base of a transistor; the electrode or terminal connected to this region is also called the collector. 2. An electrode that collects electrons or ions which have completed their func tions within an electron tube; a collector receives electrons after they have done useful work, whereas an anode receives electrons whose useful work is to be done outside the tube. Also known as electron collector.

Small-signal Bipolar Transistors (BJT) - (76 companies)
Small-signal bipolar transistors (BJT) are semiconductors that amplify small AC or DC signals. They consist of a base n-type or p-type layer sandwiched between emitter and collector layers of the opposite type. Search by Specification | Learn more about about Small-signal Bipolar Transistors (BJT)
Power Bipolar Transistors - (75 companies)
Power bipolar transistors are semiconductors in which a base n-type or p-type layer is sandwiched between emitter and collector layers of the opposite type. The junctions between the semiconductor sections amplify weak incoming electrical signals. Search by Specification | Learn more about about Power Bipolar Transistors
Darlington Transistors - (47 companies)
Darlington transistors (Darlington pairs) are semiconductor devices that combine two bipolar transistors in a single device. They provide high current gain (commonly written ß) and require less space than configurations that use two discrete transistors.
